The angel Castiel was much distressed, for he sought the lord God yet knew not where to search.
The Righteous Man perceived this and said in jest “Seek the lord God in the land of New Mexico, for I hear he is on a tortilla”
But, lo, the angel Castiel did not understand this jest and gave consideration to the Righteous Man’s suggestion.
Then he spake and said “Nay, he resides not on any flat-bread” and an awkward silence did fall.

This is interesting because it’s all a matter of perception, isn’t it? In the eyes of a rebel, Cas was never rebel enough; in the eyes of a loyal follower of rules, Cas was never obedient enough.
It’s as if Cas has always straddled the line between the “good little soldier” and the subversive rule-bender - until Dean’s words in Lucifer Rising tip the scale.

My love for episode 21 aside, I wasn’t expecting the whole Tablet-In-The-Tummy scenario with Cas.I thought it was ingenious but I began to wonder how the hell he thought of putting the tablet inside of himself…and how? Then I got this odd image in my head of the tablet being semi-sentient and communicating with Castiel and telling him to eat it.Yeah.That would have been an interesting conversation to witness.
